John Forrest National Park

John Forrest National Park, a stones throw away from the Perth CBD, was the first national park declared in Western Australia is named after the explorer and statesman John Forrest who led pioneer expeditions into Australia’s western interior.

There are several walk trails to enjoy, particularly the 15km Eagle View Trail which showcases the variety of stunning jarrah, marri and wandoo forest and granite outcrops that the Darling Scarp has to offer. There are also numerous lookouts over the Swan Coastal Plain along the way with wildflowers to admire.

Alternatively, if you prefer to cycle bring your bike and ride the network of Railway Reserves Trails and if you’re feeling brave, explore the dark and daring Swan View Railway tunnel! Either way you will find a quick escape to recharge in the bush and a great day out with friends or family.
