Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park

Chequered with an interesting past including stock grazing, harbouring escaped convicts, commune living and an effluent disposal site, the Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park is now a sought after location for aquatic recreation, bird watching and camping.

Hordes of black swans pepper the surface of the water in season and brilliant white heron can be easily spotted in the reeds. The estuary is long and thin stretching about 11km to the township of Bunbury where chequered painted lighthouses overlook basaltic rock beaches.
